Jardinette Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Jardinette mobile and web applications (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and disclose your personal information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Google’s API Service User Data Policy.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information Provided by You

• Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture provided during registration or login.

• Garden Data: Plant preferences, garden location (city/region), and environmental conditions (light, space) entered into the "Find Your Plant Match" tool.

• Communications: Information provided when contacting support.

B. Information from Third-Party Services (Google OAuth)

If you choose to log in via Google, we receive:

• Google User Data: Your email address, name, and profile picture.

• Purpose: We use this data solely to authenticate your identity, create your account, and personalize your gardening dashboard. We only request basic profile scopes (openid, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email, and https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile). We do not access your Google Drive, Contacts, or other sensitive scopes.

C. Automatically Collected Data

• Usage Data: IP address, browser type, and interaction with our matching algorithm via Google Analytics 4 (GA4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and improve the "Find Your Plant Match" algorithm.

• Personalize gardening recommendations.

• Communicate updates and (with your explicit consent) marketing for Jardinette products.

• Google Data Limited Use: Our use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Service User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure

• No Sale of Data: Jardinette Inc. does not sell your personal information to third parties.

• Service Providers: We share data with trusted partners who assist in operating our Service, including Vercel (hosting) and Supabase (database management). These providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide these services to us.

• Anonymized Aggregation: We may share anonymized, aggregated environmental data with researchers or urban planners to improve urban biodiversity. This data cannot be linked back to any individual user.

4. Data Security and Retention

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption provided by our cloud infrastructure partners (Vercel/Supabase). While data is stored via these platforms, we maintain administrative control over access. We retain personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.

5. Your Rights

Under PIPEDA, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You may withdraw your consent for data processing or delete your account at any time by contacting us.
